FTNON Wet slicer
for fresh mushrooms
The wet slicer of Food Technology Noord-Oost Nederland B.V. (FTNON) is especially developed for cutting fresh, washed mushrooms.
The construction is such that damage is limited to a minimum. The mushrooms are fed in the reservoir of the slicer by hand or automatically. The water dams up and spreads the mushrooms over the full width of the infeed system, which consists of a flat stainless steel plate over which water streams. By means of this system the mushrooms have the correct orientation when presented to the cutter head. The cutter head comprises 2 axles on which circular shaped knives are mounted.
After cutting, the mushrooms fall on to a dewatering belt. This wire mesh belt dewaters the mushrooms and transports them to the following processing station. The processing water runs through the dewatering belt back to a buffer tank. A pump enables the water to be used again.
The guiding system and the cutter head can be simply exchanged in case you need another sorting or cut.
- capacity up to 3,000 kgs/hour, depending on quality and pre-sorting
- standard cutting dimensions: from 3.5 to 10 mm
- drive by motor reductor
- knives made out of especially hardened steel
- mobile construction possible
FTNON delivers tailor-made machines. Therefore capacity and dimensions will depend on your product and specific requirements. All our machines are constructed of stainless steel wherever possible and comply with the stringent, international standards in the field of safety and hygiene.
