Automation of tray and pallet transport

For hygienic and ergonomic reasons, manual handling of trays and pallets is often not desirable any more. Therefore, Food Technology Noord-Oost Nederland B.V. (FTNON) has developed various systems, with which these activities can be carried out in an easier and cleaner way.
For the food industry this means that the complete tray transport from and to the several processing stations is automated. For example: at the tray stacker trays are fed into the stacker, one by one. Each time the stack is picked up and placed on a new tray. When a stack comprises a certain number of trays, it is pushed out of the stacker.
Further, it is possible to use the stacking unit as a destacker, provided with a bottom or top unloading system. The palletising system consists of a conveyor track and a turning unit. On this track the stack of trays is turned in the right direction by the turning unit. In this way a pattern is formed, in which the stacks are pushed on the pallet. As soon as all stacks are located on the pallet, it can be discharged automatically or by pallet or fork-lift truck.

•  stacking and destacking of pallets
• routing and transporting of trays
• vertically transporting of trays
• filling and emptying of trays
• turning and tipping of pallet boxes
