FTNON Prep lines
for fresh vegetables and salads
Food Technology Noord-Oost Nederland B.V. (FTNON) supplies tailor-made processing lines for the food industry. An important aspect herewith is the manual preparation of the product. The eye and the workmanship with the knife are still necessary to judge and to process the continuously varying quality of the product, on the basis of shape and colour.
The prep lines of FTNON enable optimum performance of your employees. Our processing lines are not only characterized by good ergonomics and a logical operation method. We offer the means and options to handle the preparation quicker, with less product loss and a better product quality, and moreover with more pleasure.
As a guide we give hereby an overview of the main versions in which FTNON constructs its prep lines. We are able to supply these prep lines on the ground floor or on gantries. Product discharge is effected by belts or flumes.

FTNON delivers tailor-made machines. Therefore capacity and dimensions will depend on your product and specific requirements. All our machines are constructed of stainless steel wherever possible and comply with the stringent, international standards in the field of safety and hygiene.
Options
Integrated weighing systems
By means of belt weighers or weighing hoppers the mass streams of incoming product, prepped product and waste can be traced. On the basis hereof it is possible to realise a more efficient judgement and planning of raw material and work force.
Knife holders
Per workstation knife holders for 6 knives can be mounted. It is possible to fill the knife holders with a sterilising agent. This minimises the chance of cross-infection during pre-processing.
Glove holders
The gloves can be hung at the workstation by means of a simple clamp. This prevents the chance of gloves arriving in the processing with prepped product, or gloves becoming dirty when laid down.
Hand showers
Workstations can be kept clean by means of hand showers with a central feed pipe. Spraying dirt away keeps the knives sharp for a longer period.
Sterilisation tanks for cutting boards
It is possible to store cutting boards in sterilisation tanks per prep line. These tanks can be filled with a sterilising agent.
Cutting boards which are adjustable in height
The work station of each individual employee can be set up optimally by means of cutting boards which are adjustable in height.
Automatic infeed systems
Some firm products are supplied in pallet boxes. These pallet boxes can be automatically emptied, with controlled output. For this purpose FTNON constructs so-called “Gentle Tip” systems which can be loaded by a fork-lift or hand pallet truck.
Automatic pre-processing systems
Some products, such as cabbage and iceberg, can be automatically pre-processed to a large extent. FTNON shall pleased to give you further information about its automatic de-coring and segmenting machines.
