AIT On-line decoring system

for cauliflower

Manual cutting of cauliflower florets is a difficult and labour intensive task. In co-operation with the company AIT in Tudela/Spain FTNON supplies a new decoring system for cauliflower. It is an innovative machine, which can produce cauliflower florets in a quick and careful way. Compared with other machines in the market, the florets are of a higher quality, so that they stay fresh for a longer time.

At the infeed the cauliflower is placed on a belt by hand, with the core upwards.

The new technology is able to detect the dimensions of the cauliflower automatically. In this way a calibration is not necessary. Furthermore, it is possible to produce cauliflower florets with the desired dimensions, whereby only a minimum of final processing needs to be effected.

The waste material and the cauliflower florets are automatically fed out of the machine. Further transport takes place by belt or by tray (option).
