Manual cutting of broccoli florets is a difficult and labour intensive task. In co-operation with the company AIT in Tudela/Spain FTNON supplies a new decoring system for broccoli. It is an innovative machine, which can produce broccoli florets in a quick and careful way. Compared with other machines in the market, the florets are of a higher quality, so that they stay fresh for a longer time.

At the infeed the broccoli is placed on a belt by hand, with the core upwards.

The new technology is able to detect the dimensions of the broccoli automatically. In this way a calibration is not necessary. Furthermore, it is possible to produce broccoli florets with the desired dimensions, whereby only a minimum of final processing needs to be effected.

The waste material and the broccoli florets are automatically fed out of the machine. Further transport takes place by belt or by tray (option).
